My secondary appointment is in the BA in English-Spanish Education. I teach the course on Methods and Approaches to the Teaching of English and I direct all the senior theses from the undergraduate researchers from the Literacies in Second Languages Project.
Most of my current research happens through the Literacies in Second Languages Project, a research initiative I chair. There, I am working and doing research with preservice teachers and master's students interested in issues of second language literacies. I also serve as deputy director for the Pedagogies and Didactics of Knowledge research team, where I coordinate the Second Language Studies research line.
In addition to my teaching and research duties at UPB, I have served as thesis director at Universidad de la Sabana on two occasions and I hold three visiting professorships:
