I conceive education and language as something deeply human, social, and political. Language to me is not just as a skill to be mastered, but as a way we shape identity, power, and belonging. In every course, I encourage students to ask not just how language works, but why it matters: who gets to use what language, in which spaces, and under what conditions?
Whether I’m teaching courses on language methods, discourse analysis, bilingualism, critical theory, or literacy, my classroom is a space for inquiry, critique, and transformation. I bring theory into dialogue with lived experience, always working to make language education more just, relevant, and liberatory. Below are a few of the courses I have taught at UPB, Colombia, and abroad, along with syllabi and some highlights. |
