Research in Progress
I am grateful to be actively involved in research and scholarship, promoting what I like to call "Schoarship in and from the Global South" or "South-South Scholarship" (Mora, 2016) as that coming from the non-Anglo regions in the south (i.e Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa). That is the main drive for my advocacy as a scholar, to keep opening spaces for the South and to invite scholars from the North to work with as as equitable partners and, most importantly, to carefully listen to our contributions.
I am also proud to share that I am currently ranked as Associate Researcher by the Colombian Administrative Department of Science, Technology and Innovation (Colciencias). Associate Researcher is the second most important rank for active researchers in Colombia (there are three active ranks: Junior Researcher, Associate Researcher, and Senior Researcher, plus the lifetime rank of Researcher Emeritus/a).
At present, I am participating in two international research projects and crafting proposals for three local projects at my university:

At present, I am participating in two international research projects and crafting proposals for three local projects at my university:
- Digitally Literate Research Project, a project with researchers at the University of Ottawa and College of Charleston.
- MakEY Project (Makerspaces in the early years), a multi-site project from the European Union, where I collaborate in the International Advisory Board.
- The next phase of our urban and gaming literacies studies, in addition to our own spin-off to the MakEY Project.
